Introduction - Adjudicator Overview

The SGR Official Certifier is the highest adjudicating representative of Singapore Global Records at the record attempt site. They ensure that all records strictly adhere to SGR international standards, verify evidence, interpret rules, and make final certification decisions. Certifying Officers ensure SGR's credibility, accuracy and authority in all record categories around the world.

Flow Of The Day

Arrival & Setup

  • Equipment setup, stage arrangement, measurement tools checked.
  • Organizer briefing with adjudicator.
  • Safety check and participant verification.

Pre-Event Briefing

  • Adjudicator explains official rules & procedure to all participants.
  • Clarify counting methods, timing, and disqualification criteria.
  • Brief witnesses on observation and evidence requirement.

Official Authentication Start

  • Adjudicator signals the start of the Authentication.
  • Continuous monitoring by adjudicator and assistant stewards.
  • Real-time recording and documentation.

Authentication Monitoring

  • Verify measurements, scores, or quantities throughout the records
  • Ensure no rule violations occur.
  • Validate participation records (if applicable).

Official Authentication End

  • Adjudicator announces the official end time.

Make the Final Decision

Determine if the record meets SGR criteria and qualifies for certification

Announce Results Officially

Publicly announce decisions and present certificates when permitted.

Represent SGR to Media & Public

Handle interviews and maintain SGR’s credibility.

Submit Official Adjudication Report

Provide a detailed, objective report to SGR Council.

Travel & Service Policy

  • All travel must be coordinated through SGR’s official administration team or approved agency.
  • Flight class entitlement is based on travel duration:
    • Below 4 hours: Economy Class
    • 4–6 hours: Premium Economy (if available)
    • Above 6 hours: Business Class
  • Ground transport between airport, hotel, and event venue is provided by the applicant.
  • Adjudicators must approve flight details before booking.

  • Adjudicators must arrive 12–24 hours before the event for adequate rest and preparation.
  • Overnight (“red-eye”) flights arriving on the event day are not recommended.
  • Return travel should be booked on the same day after the event or the next morning at the latest.

  • Minimum 4-star business hotel or equivalent quality
  • Private rooms required(no sharing).
  • Accommodation should be located within 30 minutes of the event venue.
  • Hotels must include daily breakfast and secure internet access.

  • Daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) provided by the organizer.
  • Meals must be hygienic and balanced; dietary preferences to be stated in advance.
  • Alcohol consumption or private entertainment during official duties is prohibited.

  • Applicant provides basic travel and accident insurance for adjudicators.
  • All must comply with local safety regulations and report incidents immediately to HQ.
  • Emergency contact details of the local organizer must be provided pre-departure.

  • The applicant is responsible for all travel, accommodation, meals, and logistics.
  • Must assign a representative to meet and accompany the adjudicator upon arrival.
  • Responsible for transportation between hotel and venue.
  • Any additional costs due to delay, reschedule, or cancellation are to be borne by the client.
  • All arrangements must comply with SGR’s ethical and safety standards

Pre-Event (7 days before):
  • Applicant uploads flight, hotel, transport confirmations to SGR system
  • SGR Admin verifies and approves arrangements
Post-Event (Within 48 hours):
  • Official Verification Report
  • Witness & Measurement Form
  • Media Documentation Log
  • All materials archived under event record ID

  • Only pre-approved expenses (such as visa, transport, and baggage fees) are eligible for reimbursement by the applicant.
  • Personal expenses (mini-bar, souvenirs, entertainment) are not claimable
  • Claims must be submitted within 14 business days after the event.

  • Adjudicators represent SGR and must maintain professional conduct at all times.
  • Business attire required during flights and events.
  • No favoritism, conflicts of interest, or premature result announcements.
  • No event-related social media posts before official publication.

  • Any travel change requires SGR HQ approval
  • Cancellations within 7 days of event → applicant bears cost.
  • For force majeure (e.g., disaster, pandemic), mutual rescheduling applies.
  • Refundable flight and hotel bookings are strongly recommended
